BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – No. 3 seed Arkansas-Monticello has advanced into the semi-finals of the inaugural Great American Conference Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament with a 58-54 win over No. 6 seed Harding on Thursday at Bruin Fieldhouse.
UAM senior guard LA Farmer led all scorers with 27 points, followed closely by Harding’s Zach Roddenberry, who made 8-of-8 shots from the field and 10-of-10 from the foul line for 26 points.
Roddenberry’s perfect field goal percentage is a new Harding school record.
UAM improves to 21-8 overall and will face the winner of the Southwestern Oklahoma State vs. Henderson State opening round matchup on Saturday, March 3 at noon. Harding ends its 2011-12 season with an overall record of 13-14.
