BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – No. 4 seed Ouachita Baptist collected an 85-65 victory over No. 5 seed Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday night to advance into the semi-finals of the inaugural Great American Conference Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament.
OBU’s Michael Morris led all scorers with 24 points after knocking down 11-of-16 field goal attempts and also collecting 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Teammate Austin Mitchell also eclipsed the 20-point barrier for the Tigers with 21 points, 18 coming from three-point range.
Zac Downing led the Savage Storm with 16 points.
OBU improves to 16-11 overall and is set to face off against top-seeded Arkansas Tech in the semi-finals on Saturday, March 3 at 2:30 p.m. Southeastern ends its 2011-12 campaign with an overall record of 12-17.
