BULLDOGS UPSET NO. 2 SEED HENDERSON STATE, 81-60

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – No. 7 seed Southwestern Oklahoma State pulled off an 81-60 upset of second-seeded Henderson State on Thursday to advance into the semi-finals of the inaugural Great American Conference men’s basketball championship tournament.

SWOSU’s Dominick Cornelius led all scorers with 28 points after making 10-of-13 shots from the field and 5-of-7 from three-point range.

Andrew Ensley was the only HSU scorer to reach double-figures with 19 points on an 8-of-17 shooting performance.

SWOSU improves 15-11 overall this season and advances to face No. 3 seed Arkansas-Monticello in the semi-finals on Saturday at noon. The Reddies end the year 16-11 overall. SWOSU’s Charlie Schaef collected his 200th career coaching victory in Thursday’s win over HSU.
