2012 GAC BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP HOME PAGE

ENID, Okla. –
Action begins Friday at the inaugural Great American Conference Baseball Championship Tournament and concludes on Monday, May 7. All games of the six-team, double-elmination tournament will be played at the David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, Okla.

For fans not in attendance, each game will be featured on the GAC Sports Network webcast at greatamericanconference.com, where there will also be links to live stats, game recaps and updated bracket information at the tournament home page.

Friday's first round pairiings were decided this past Sunday following the completion of the final games of the 2012 regular season.

Southern Arkansas headlines the field as the No. 1 seed and league’s first-ever regular season champion. The Muleriders went 32-14 overall in the regular season and 17-7 in conference games. SAU opens the tournament against No. 6 seed Henderson State (23-25, 11-13 GAC) on Friday at noon.

No. 2 seed Southeastern Oklahoma State (32-15, 16-8 GAC) takes the field next against No. 5 seed Ouachita Baptist (26-24, 12-12 GAC). First pitch of that game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The final first round game features No. 3 seed Southwestern Oklahoma State (27-17, 14-10 GAC) and No. 4 seed Arkansas Tech (25-25, 13-11 GAC). First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
