GAC BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (1/28/2013)

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech’s Roselis Silva and Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Daryl Glover received the Great American Conference’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball Players of the Week honors for their performances in the 12th week of the 2012-13 regular season.
 
GAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Roselis Silva, Arkansas Tech, G, Sr., Caracas, Venezuela
Silva picked up her second GAC Player of the Week honor of her career by putting together a pair of all-around games. She averaged 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.5 steals and 6.0 assists in wins at Harding and against Southeastern Oklahoma State. She flirted with a quadruple double against the Savage Storm as she finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.
 
GAC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Daryl Glover, Northwestern Oklahoma State, G, Sr., Inglewood, Calif.
Daryl Glover scored 25 points to lead the Rangers to a 90-75 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State. Glover - who was coming off a career-high 28 points in his previous outing - hit a pair of treys and knocked down 9 of 12 free throw attempts. Glover dished out six assists and also grabbed four rebounds, recorded a pair of steals and blocked a shot, as the Rangers won their sixth straight at home.

- Dilan Webster, f, So., East Central (Averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and shot 65.2 percent for the week)

- Kori Forge, G, Sr., Arkansas-Monticello (Averaged 24.0 points in wins against Southern Arkansas and Henderson State)
- Willie Kirkland, G, Sr., Arkansas Tech (Averaged 11.0 points and 3.5 rebounds against Harding and Southeastern)
- Tyrone Lyons, F, Sr., Southern Nazarene (Tied for the team-high with 17 points against Southwestern Oklahoma State)
