BOX SCORE || HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Harding extended it win streak against Great American Conference opponents to 33 straight as the top-seeded Lady Bisons eliminated Arkansas-Monticello in three sets on Thursday from Summit Arena.
After winning the first two sets in wire-to-wire fashion, Harding (26-7) fell behind by as many as three points early in the third set and the set remained tied as last as 17-17 before the Lady Bisons scored eight of the final 11 points to secure the win.
The Lady Bisons out-hit the Cotton Blossoms (12-20) .275 to -.009. It represented just the third time in the last two seasons that Harding has forced its opponent into a negative hitting percentage.
Three from Harding - Alyssa Short, Liv Savage and Marindia Turner - all hit at least .400 in the contest. Short posted the best percentage, .545, while Turner led the team in kills, 13. GAC Player of the Year Mollie Arnold added nine kills and 13 digs.
Second-Team All-GAC setter Taryn Eubank doled out a match-high 36 assists. She recorded a double-double as she added 10 digs.
Honorable Mention All-GAC outside hitter Tori Bozzo led UAM with six kills and added 10 digs. Christina Rini hit .444 on nine attacks.
The Lady Bisons will seek their third-straight finals appearance when they play in the Friday's second semifinal. They will take on the winner of the Southwestern Oklahoma State-Ouachita Baptist match at 6 p.m. The GAC Sports Network will stream the match live at
