RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Southern Nazarene’s Kristin Milster and Arkansas Monticello’s Brandon Wilson collected the Great American Conference’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball Players of the Week honors for their performances during the sixth week of the 2013-14 regular season.
GAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kristin Milster, Southern Nazarene, F, Sr., Washington, Okla.
Milster set career highs with 24 points and five assists as the Crimson Storm rallied in the second half to win back-to-back games for the first time this season. She went 6-for-10 from the floor and made 11-of-13 free throws. The 11 made free throws also represented a career-high.
GAC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Brandon Wilson, Arkansas-Monticello, F, Sr., Rayville, La.
Wilson scored a career-high 26 points in leading the Boll Weevils to an 88-48 victory against Central Baptist College on Saturday. He connected on 9-of-10 from the floor and added seven rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals. Wilson has scored in double figures in all eight games this season and his 17.0 points per game average ranks third in the GAC
