Tweet #theGAC  MONTICELLO, Ark. – Led by Great American Conference Runner of the Year Ewa Zaborowka, the Harding women’s cross country team recorded a perfect team score of 15 points to capture the 2015 GAC Championship title, the Lady Bisons’ third consecutive GAC crown, on Saturday at the campus of Arkansas at Monticello.
 
Zaborowska won her third GAC Runner of the Year as she ran the fastest 5K time by a GAC runner at any event as she finished the course in a time of 16:44.75. The Lady Bisons, fourth in the most recent USTFCCA Central Region rankings received top finishes from Kelsey Taylor, who finished second on the team with a time of 17:46.22, followed by Amber Webb, 17:47.45; Sylvie Mueller, 17:49.08 and Madison Drennan, 17:57.63.
 
For the third-straight year, Southern Arkansas finished as the runner up. Virginia Ney paced the Lady Muleriders with an 11th-place showing. Teammate Abbey Foremann finished in 14th and Ashlynne Foley came in 18th. East Central finished four points behind SAU. Anna Mora led the Tigers as she finished in 10th.
 
Southwestern Oklahoma State finished in fourth place while Southern Nazarene and Arkansas Tech tied for fifth. Southeastern Oklahoma State garnered the seventh position with Henderson State in eighth. Northwestern Oklahoma State competed as a scoring team for the first time as a full member of Division II finished in ninth with Ouachita and the host UAM rounding out the team standings.
 
Oklahoma Baptist’s runners competed as unattached individuals as the Bison complete their transition into Division II. Seven Bison finished inside the top 20, led by Abby Hoover’s second-place time of 17:09.05. Miranda Dent came in third with a time 17:41.16; Emily Sechrist took fifth, 17:47.10 and Sydney Lawrence finished eighth, 17:52.90.
