UAM RALLIES TO EARN SPOT IN GAC CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE GAME

 ARKADELPHIA, Ark.  No. 2 Arkansas-Monticello earned its third trip to the Great American Conference Baseball Championship title game as the Weevils rallied past No. 8 Arkansas Tech, 4-3, in Friday’s winner’s bracket final from Clyde Berry Field. UAM pitchers Ben Aldridge and Chad Bradford tossed 4.1 innings of shutout relief as the Weevils overcame a two-run deficit. Evan Comeau collected four of the six Weevil base hits.

   ATU 3rd – Kaleb Warden singled to center field; Marcus Wilson scored.
   ATU 5th – Parker O'Dell flied out to right field; Dylan McDearmon scored, Josh Watkins advanced to third,       
                      scored on an error by the shortstop.
   UAM 6th – Travis Steinke singled to left field; Kevin Fitzpatrick scored.
   UAM 6th – Mitchell Dornblut reached on a fielder's choice; Corey Wood scored.
