RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s basketball players of the week for the eighth week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Jaedyn Getman won the Offensive Player of the Week honor and Ouachita Baptist’s Abbey Harrison captured the Defensive Player of the Week accolade.

Getman averaged 31.5 points per game against Arkansas Tech and Harding. Against the Golden Suns, she recorded her third 30-point game of the season when she tallied 34 on 15-of-25 shooting. She added 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double. She scored 29 points and made 12-of-23 shots against the Lady Bisons. Her 21.6 points per game rank sixth in Division II.
#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Abbey Harrison, F, Ouachita Baptist, Sr., Hernando, Mississippi
Harrison helped the Tigers score road wins at No. 15 Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southwestern Oklahoma State. She grabbed 11 rebounds against the Rangers. The Tigers held the Rangers to just 30.1 percent shooting. In the Tigers’ first win at SWOSU since 2012, she again pulled down 11 rebounds. She added two blocks. SWOSU shot just 30.4 percent from the field.
