Tweet #theGAC  RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC men’s basketball players of the week for the ninth week of the season. Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Max Alexander garnered the Offensive Player of the Week honor while Arkansas Tech’s Devin Foster and Southern Nazarene’s Baron Bracey shared the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Max Alexander, G, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., McPherson, Kansas
Alexander raised his scoring average to a GAC-leading 22.1 points per game after he scored 26 in a road win against Arkansas-Monticello and a season-high 33 in a five-point victory against Southern Arkansas. He played all 40 minutes in both games. He grabbed three steals against the Weevils and four against the Muleriders.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Devin Foster, G, Arkansas Tech, Gr., Morrillton, Arkansas
Foster collected a pair of blocks, four steals and had six defensive rebounds to help the Wonder Boys defeat East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State. Against the Tigers, he grabbed seven rebounds and picked up two steals. Against the Savage Storm, he blocked two shots and collected two steals

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Baron Bracey, G, Southern Nazarene, Sr., San Diego, California
Bracey grabbed 19 rebounds - 16 on the defensive end - in road contests against Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist. He notched a season-high 11 defensive rebounds in the Crimson Storm’s triple-overtime victory against the Reddies. He followed up with five against the Tigers. He blocked a shot in both games.
