RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC men’s basketball players of the week for the tenth week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Terry Coner, Jr. won the Offensive Player of the Week award while Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Robbie Armbrester claimed the Defensive Player of the Week accolade.

Coner, Jr. scored a game-high 27 points as the Bison defeated Southern Nazarene, 84-61, in a battle of two top-20 teams. He personally outscored the Crimson Storm in the first half, 19-18. He went 10-for-16 from the floor and made 3-of-6 3-point tries. He added six rebounds and four assists. He has averaged 24.2 points per game during the Bison’s six-game January win streak.
#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Robbie Armbrester, F, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Atlanta, Georgia
Armbreaster grabbed 10 rebounds - nine defensive - blocked a shot and picked up a steal to help the Rangers defeat Southwestern Oklahoma State, 80-73. He added 10 points as he recorded his second straight double-double and third of the season. His 7.2 rebounds per game rank third in the conference.
