 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s tennis player of the week for the opening week of the 2026 season. Henderson State’s Emilia Nowak earned the award after helping the Reddies pick up two wins.

Nowak scored two singles wins and two doubles wins as the Reddies opened the season with 7-0 victories against Christian Brothers and Fort Smith. She and Jordan Parker claimed a 6-1 No. 1 doubles win against the Bucs. She beat Fernanda Garcia Galvez, 6-0, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. She and Parker beat UAFS’ top tandem, 6-2, and she lost only one game in her singles match.
