 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC softball weekly awards for the third week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Greenlee Wells claimed Player of the Week and Southern Nazarene’s Olivia Hernandez captured Pitcher of the Week.

#theGAC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Greenlee Wells, SS, Oklahoma Baptist, Sr., Vian, Oklahoma
Wells hit .538, posted a slugging mark of 1.615 and drove in 10 across the Bison’s four games at the Cherokee Nation D2 Festival. Against No. 7 Central Oklahoma, she doubled and drove in two runs. In the team's 12-7 win over Northeastern State, she became the first Bison in their DII era to hit three home runs in a single game.

#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Hernandez, RHP, Southern Nazarene, Sr., Texhoma, Oklahoma
Hernandez threw a one-hit shutout against Nebraska-Kearney as part of the Crimson Storm’s 2-0 Friday at the DII Branson Battle. She struck out nine batters and walked only two. The nine strikeouts represented her most in a stint since she fanned 11 against Southeastern Oklahoma State on April 6, 2024.
