#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (WEEK 14)

 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s basketball players of the week for the penultimate week of the season. Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Kira Bass earned the Offensive Player of the Week award and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Landry Allen claimed the Defensive Player of the Week accolade.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kira Bass, C, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Killeen, Texas
Bass led Northwestern to three wins that clinched a spot in the GAC Championships for the Rangers. She averaged a double- double - 24.7 points and 12.0 rebounds - against Southeastern Oklahoma State, Southern Arkansas and Arkansas- Monticello. She shot 56.3 percent for the week. Her 32-point effort against SAU represented her third 30-point game of the season.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Landry Allen, F, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., Tuttle, Oklahoma
Allen totaled 13 blocks and 10 steals as the Lady Bulldogs strung together their first three-game win streak of the season. She became the fourth woman in GAC history to record 100 blocks in a season. She needs five to break the league’s single-season record of 115 set by Southern Nazarene’s Hannah Giddey in 2023-24. She added 18 rebounds, 14 defensive.
