#theGAC MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK (WEEK SEVEN)

 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its seventh GAC men’s indoor track & field athletes of the week winners. Harding Benson Lingokal captured the track award and his teammate, Everett Mumme, earned the field accolade.

#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Benson Lingokal, Fr., Harding, Eldoret, Kenya
One week after shattering the Harding 5,000-meter school record, Lingokal secured an individual event title in the 3,000 meters at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track Center. He won with a time of 8:18.83. He won by almost six seconds in a field that featured Division I and Division II runners.

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Everett Mumme, Jr., Harding, Satellite Beach, Florida
Mumme delivered a season-best performance in the pole vault at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track Center, clearing 5.12m to finish as second. The mark, an NCAA Provisional height, moved Mumme up to 13th on the national performance list and second on the GAC list.
