RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the third men’s and women’s golfers of the week awards for the spring portion of the 2025-26 season. Southern Nazarene’s Dawson Dunlap won the men’s award and Arkansas Tech’s Ellen Spigner earned the women’s honor.
#theGAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Dawson Dunlap, Sr., Southern Nazarene, Arcadia, Oklahoma
Dunlap became the first Crimson Storm golfer to win medalist honors at a tournament since Sam Schmidt at the 2023 GAC Preview as he won at the Crusader Cup. He carded the low round of the event, a 3-under par 69 in the opening round. Following a second-round 77, he finished with a three-shot victory. He tied for the tournament lead with seven birdies.
#theGAC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Ellen Spigner, Sr., Arkansas Tech, Nashville, Arkansas
Spigner tied for ninth at the Women's Rattler Invitational. With a 1-under 71 in her final round, she moved 24 spots up the leaderboard to secure her fourth-straight top-10 finish. She made three birdies in her final round. She led the Golden Suns to a tie for fifth in the 17-team event.
