RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC baseball weekly awards for the seventh week of the season. Ouachita Baptist’s Joseph Bolin garnered Player of the Week and Henderson State’s Ethan Roark won Pitcher of the Week.
#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Joseph Bolin, C, Ouachita Baptist, Sr., El Dorado, Arkansas
Bolin collected 11 hits as the Tigers split their four contests. Against Mississippi College, he went 1-for-3 with an RBI. In the series with Southern Nazarene, he went 2-for-4 and scored three runs in game one, 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in game and 4-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base in game three.
#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Ethan Roark, SP, Henderson State, Sr., Flint, Texas
Roark earned his first win of the season as he threw a three-hit complete game against Oklahoma Baptist on Friday. He notched his third double-digit strikeout performance of the season as he fanned 11 Bison. He held the Bison to three hits and he did not walk a batter. In 36.0 innings this season, he has a GAC-leading 54 strikeouts. The total ranks second in Division II.
