RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its 10th GAC men’s track & field athletes of the week winners. Southern Arkansas’ Tiquan Box earned the track award and Ouachita Baptist’s Rocco Patrick claimed the field honor.

In his debut outdoor event, Box won the 110-meter hurdles at the Ouachita Baptist Invitational. He crossed the line in a time of 15.19 seconds. He beat the closest competitor by 0.34 seconds. His time ranks third in the conference. He competed in the 200-meter dash and ran in 22.42 seconds.
#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Rocco Patrick, So., Ouachita Baptist, Prescott, Arkansas
Patrick won two field events at the Ouachita Baptist Invitational. In the hammer throw, he recorded a personal-best attempt of 53.54 meters. He won by almost nine meters. His effort ranks ninth in Division II. In the discus, he took first with a top throw of 47.16 meters. He ranks 10th nationally in the event. He added a fifth-place finish in the shot put.
