#theGAC WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK (WEEK 10)

 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the 10th GAC women’s track & field athletes of the week recipients. Southern Arkansas’ Jordan Collins earned the Track honor and Harding’s Ally Cheek garnered the field accolade.

#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Jordan Collins, Sr., Southern Arkansas, Huntsville, Texas
Collins completed the sprinter’s double at the Ouachita Baptist Invitational as she won the 100-meter dash in a personal-best time of 12.04 seconds and the 200 in a school-record time of 23.94 seconds. She earned an NCAA Provisional time in the 200. Her 200 time ranks third in Division II.

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Ally Cheek, Jr., Harding, Sachse, Texas
Cheek claimed the title in the high jump at the Ouachita Baptist Invitational as she cleared a personal best with an NCAA provisional height of 1.68m. Her clearance ranks second in Division II. She cleared her first five heights without a foul. She cleared 1.65 meters on her second try and won with a successful clearance of 1.68 meters on her first attempt.
