RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its 11th GAC men’s track & field athletes of the week winners. Harding’s Savian Bush claimed the track athlete award while his teammate, Casen Hammitt, earned the field athlete honor.

At the Ole Miss Classic, Bush ran a provisional time of 14.09 seconds in the 110 hurdles en route to winning the event. He posted a personal best in the 200-meter dash after he clocked in a time of 21.49 seconds. He finished fourth in the event. He ran the opening leg of the Bisons’ 4x100 relay team.
#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Casen Hammitt, Sr., Harding, Nixa, Missouri
Hammitt won the javelin competition at the Ole Miss Classic with a mark of 63.00m. He seized the lead in the event following his third throw, 61.31 meters. He improved on his fourth attempt. He won by more than three meters. He ranks third nationally in the event.
