RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC softball weekly awards for the sixth week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Greenlee Wells earned Player of the Week and Southern Arkansas’ Emma Duncan claimed Pitcher of the Week.

Wells helped the Bison record their third-straight GAC series sweep after she hit .625 against East Central to raise her average back above .500. She went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI in game one. She hit two home runs and drove in six as part of a 9-0 win. In the finale, she walked twice and scored runs in a 10-2 win.
#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Emma Duncan, RHP, Southern Arkansas, Gr., Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Canada
Duncan improved to 11-0 after she picked up two wins against Ouachita Baptist. On Thursday, she threw a two-hit complete game. She struck out seven and walked only one in the 4-1 victory. In Friday’s finale, she surrendered just one hit over 5.0 innings of a 9-2 win. She struck out six and walked two. At 11-0, only two Division II pitchers have more wins without a loss.
