#theGAC MEN’S AND WOMEN’S GOLFERS OF THE WEEK (WEEK 19)

 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the ninth golfer of the week honors for the spring portion of the 2025-26 season. Arkansas Tech’s Jacob Peetoom won the men’s accolade and Henderson State’s Lily Nelson captured the women’s award.

#theGAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jacob Peetoom, Jr., Arkansas Tech, Rogers, Arkansas
Peetoom led the Wonder Boys as he tied for 10th at the Firekeeper Open with a 54-hole score of 2-over par 218. Peetoom opened with consecutive rounds of 1-over 73. On Tuesday, Peetoom improved by a shot with an even-par 72. For the tournament, Peetoom collected seven birdies. He added an eagle on the par-5 fourth hole during the second round.

#theGAC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Lily Nelson, Sr., Henderson State, New Castle, Colorado
Nelson won her second individual title of the season as she came from behind to win the WT Desert Invite by two shots. She finished the opening round five shots back of the lead. She answered by equaling the low round of the event, a 4-under 68 to finish at 3-under, two clear of second place. She made four birdies and an eagle in her final round.
