TULSA, Oklahoma – For the second-straight day of the 2026 Great American Conference Women’s Golf Championships, Arkansas Tech produced the low round of the tournament as the Golden Suns extended their lead to 16 shots after 36 holes from Stone Creek Course at Page Belcher Golf Course. Tech’s Ellen Spigner, the GAC’s Player of the Year shot a 1-under par 70 to move into first place on the individual side.
Spigner and Jessie Jane Norman registered the two under-par rounds of the day to help the Golden Suns shoot 9-over as a team. After seven pars, Spigner bogeyed the par-3 eighth hole, but played the back nine in 2-under to post 1-under for the day and for the tournament. Norman cut 10 shots off of her opening-round 80. She made five birdies and she climbed from 28th into a tie for sixth. Averi Mickelson joined Norman in a tie for sixth following her second-straight 4-over 75. Jaylee Castro shot a 7-over 78 and finished tied for 10th.
Southwestern Oklahoma State moved up one spot into second place. Maria Velilla maintained her position inside the top five following a 2-over 73. She sits in second place, four shots behind Spigner. Daniela Espinoza moved up 14 spots and into the top 10 after a 3-over 74.
Henderson State played its way into the final pairings by posting a second-straight round of 24-over 308. Lily Nelson shot a 3-over 74 to end the round in fifth place. Paulina Narvaez cut three shots off her first round score with a 4-over 75 to join the group tied for 10th.
Oklahoma Baptist improved to fourth place. Priscilla Gant recorded the low round of the day for the Bison, a 3-over 74. Sam Lehr kept her spot in the top 10 following a 6-over 77.
Arkansas-Monticello and Northwestern Oklahoma State finished Tuesday in a tie for fifth. The Blossoms registered the third-best team score of the second round, a 22-over 306. Renata Abad carded the third-best round of the day, a 1-over 72 that featured four birdies to move into sole possession of third place, five shots back of Spigner. A 6-over 77 dropped Tori Milton two places into a tie for eighth. The Blossoms have never produced two top-10 finishers at a single GAC Championship.
The Rangers fell from second place after playing nine shots worse than Monday. Gracie Doke, the first-round leader, mustered an 8-over round to end in fourth. Amanda Lane moved inside the top 10 after a 4-over 75.
Harding passed Southern Arkansas into seventh. Madeleine Wilson shot the Lady Bisons’ low round of the day, a 5-over 76. The Muleriders’ top effort came from Emma Hester, a 6-over 77.
Southeastern Oklahoma State, Southern Nazarene and East Central rounded out the team standings. The Savage Storm’s Karen Kim shot a 4-over 75 to climb 14 spots and Carley Button added a 7-over 78 to stay inside the top 20.
Wednesday’s final round tees off at 8 a.m. with golfers from the Crimson Storm and Tigers opening play.
