BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – Arkansas Tech matched the low round of day to push its lead at the 2026 Great American Conference Men’s Golf Championships to 11 shots on Monday from The Club at Forest Ridge. The Wonder Boys’ Cameron Twynholm moved into sole possession of first place following even-par 72.
Following his seven-birdie round of 4-under 68 on Sunday, Twynholm paired two birdies and two bogeys to build a three-shot lead. Jacob Peetoom, the first-round co-leader, shot a 3-over 75. After making four bogeys in his first seven holes, Peetoom played his final 11 holes in 1-under. Landon Lawson carded Tech’s the low round of the day, a 1-under 71 that included three birdies and an eagle on the par-4 10th hole. He moved up from 21st to a tie for sixth. Luke Hanson added a 2-over 74 to move into the top 20.
Southwestern Oklahoma State matched Tech with a 4-over team score to take over sole possession of second place. Conrado Diaz Ermacora and Ryan Carlisle, produced matching even-par rounds. Diaz Ermacora’s two even-par rounds place him in third. Carlisle climbed 14 spots into a tie for 14th. Ben Jackson, the GAC Freshman of the Year, moved inside the top 10 after a 1-over 73 that featured six birdies. His 10 birdies through two rounds lead the field.
Southern Arkansas moved into Tuesday’s final groups by equalling Tech and SWOSU with a 4-over round. Collin Spangler and Jett Stephenson ascended into the top 10. Spangler paired two birdies with two bogeys to shoot even par. He shares sixth. Stephenson bounced back from a 5-over start on his first seven holes with three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 18th to post an even-par 72. He jumped 12 spots into a tie for ninth. Luke Cote remained inside the top 10 following a 3-over 75. Carter Bell collected four front-nine birdies as part of a 1-over 73.
Harding and Northwestern Oklahoma State finished Monday tied for fourth. The Bisons cut five shots off their first-round score with a 7-over 295. Dennis Staykov, the GAC Player of the Year notched five birdies over his final 11 holes to record a 1-under round and post a two-day score of even par. William Pulley bounced back from an 8-over 80 on Sunday with a 1-over 73 second round. Jose Arzu added a 2-over 74.
Mathieu Zerwin led the Rangers with a 1-over 73 that concluded with three birdies over his final four holes. Pierce Geminden and Chris Xiao remained inside the top 10s with matching 2-over 74s. Xiao closed with an eagle on the 18th hole.
Henderson State ended in sixth, followed by East Central. The Reddies’ Colin Purifoy and the Tigers’ Gabe Jones each matched the low round of the day, 1-under. Purifoy made four birdies to move into a tie for third. After Sunday, Jones stood in a tie for 53rd. By cutting 10 shots off his first-round score, he moved up to a tie for 24th.
Southeastern Oklahoma State and Arkansas-Monticello finished the round in a tie for eighth, followed by Southern Nazarene. The Weevils’ Landry Rogers played seven shots better on Monday than Sunday to move into a tie for 20th. The Crimson Storm’s Dawson Dunlap shot a 4-over 76 to share sixth.
Tuesday’s final round begins at 8 a.m. Harding and Northwestern start on the first hole while Southern Nazarene and UAM open play off the 10th tee.
