RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC baseball weekly awards for the penultimate week of the season. Harding’s Nathan Bowie captured Player of the Week and Arkansas-Monticello’s Bryce Louis garnered Pitcher of the Week.
#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Nathan Bowie, LF, Harding, Sr., Fort Worth, Texas
Bowie went 7-for-14 in wins against Henderson State and Southern Nazarene. He scored 12 runs across the four games. In a 9-6 victory against the Reddies, he went 3-for-4 with a home run and four runs scored. He walked four times and scored three runs in game one against the Crimson Storm. He hit a two-run home run in game two and a solo home run in the finale.
#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Bryce Louis, SP, Arkansas-Monticello, Sr., St. Louis, Missouri
Louis improved to 4-1 as he defeated East Central on Thursday. He threw a career-high 8.0 innings and held the Tigers to only one run and two fourth-inning singles. He struck out a career-best nine batters and walked only two. He retired 12 of the final 13 batters he faced.
