RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC baseball weekly awards for the 10th week of the season. East Central’s Ryan Strickland collected Player of the Week and Arkansas Tech’s Creighton Jacobitz earned Pitcher of the Week.

Strickland collected three-straight multi-hit performances in the Tigers’ sweep of Southern Nazarene. In the opener, he homered and stole a base. In game two, he hit a two-run home run and doubled. In the finale, he put the Tigers ahead for good with a sixth-inning grand slam.
#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Creighton Jacobitz, SP, Arkansas Tech, Jr., Hasting, Nebraska
Jacobitz won for the third time in four starts as he defeated Henderson State, 8-0, on Saturday. In a 122-pitch effort, he struck out a season-high nine. He scattered eight hits, all singles, and he walked only one. He earned his GAC-leading sixth win and he lowered his ERA to 3.36.
