WESTLAKE, Ohio – The Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association has released its All-Region Softball Teams, and in the Central Region, Southern Arkansas pitcher Emma Duncan claimed the Pitcher of the Year honor.
Claiming her second Central Region First Team honor and the second-straight Central Region Pitcher of the Year plaudit for the Muleriders, Duncan has earned the titles after a standout final collegiate season. Adding to her already lengthy list of honors, following the Central Regional, the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada, local currently leads the region in games started (38 | 1st DII), innings pitched (224.2 | 8th DII), pitching appearances (41 | 7th DII), shutouts (10 | 4th DII), and victories (29 | 2nd DII). The graduate student also ranks inside the top four of the region in complete games (22 | 4th Region | 24th DII), earned run average (1.56 | 2nd Region | 9th DII), hits allowed per seven innings (4.36 | 2nd Region | 7th DII), strikeouts (223 | 2nd Region | 9th DII), and WHIP (0.97 | 2nd Region | 11th DII).
