EMPORIA, Kansas – Oklahoma Baptist women's track and field member Jamora Horace became the program's first NCAA individual national champion on Saturday as the team wrapped up the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
During the high jump competition, Horace recorded an effort of 1.87 meters, clinching the national title. That mark was also an OBU outdoor record, breaking an Akela Jones performance of 1.80 in 2013.
Horace's teammate, Jacey Hammon, took second with a personal-best 1.78m. At the conclusion of the meet, OBU finished in 12th place. That's the best-ever finish by the Bison in an NCAA Championship.
