KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Great American Conference Player of the Year Rod Camphor was one of 20 players from an NCAA Division II institution selected to play in the 2014 Reese's Division II College All-Star Game.

The game – hosted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) – will be played as part of the 2014 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship and is sponsored by Reese's, the official candy partner of the NCAA. The game will be played on Friday, March 28, at 6:00 pm (CST) at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind., the site of the 2014 NCAA Men's Division II Elite Eight.

The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division II and four at-large selections. Camphor will be a member of the East All-Star Team, coached by Steve Newton, a former head coach at Murray State and South Carolina. His squad will face the West All-Star Team, which is led by former Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan coach Wayne Boultinghouse.

Camphor was recently named an NABC First Team All-Central District selection after leading SWOSU in scoring with 17.7 points per game and helping the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the Great American Conference. He was previously named the GAC Player of the Year and a First Team All-GAC selection, becoming the first player from SWOSU to earn both honors.

A native of Baltimore, Md., Camphor becomes the first player from SWOSU and the Great American Conference to be selected to play in the Reese's Division II College All-Star Game. He is joined in the game by two other players from the Central Region in DeShaun Cooper of Northwest Missouri State and Marquis Addison of Missouri Southern, both of whom will play for the West All-Star Team.
