OKLAHOMA BAPTIST SHUTS OUT OUACHITA; ADVANCES TO #theGAC WOMEN'S SOCCER FINAL

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist avenged its two regualar-season losses to Ouachita by defeating the Tigers, 1-0, Thursday afternoon to advance to the title game of the GAC Women's Soccer Championships for the third-straight year.
Hannah White scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 12th minute on a ricochet off the right post. White now owns five goals on the season.
OBU out-shot Ouachita 21-5, with 13 shots on goal to the Tigers' two. Tori Kitchel and Abigail Parker both led the Bison attack with three shots on goal apiece.
Emily Griffith recorded two saves to notch her fifth shutout of the season in goal. She dropped her goals-against average for the season down to 0.96.
The Bison will take on top-seeded Southwestern Oklahoma State at 11 a.m. on Saturday from the SWOSU Athletic Complex in Weatherford. The Bison and Bulldogs have met in each of previous two finals. SWOSU won in 2017 while OBU captured its first crown in last year's overtime meeeting.
