Tweet #theGAC  BETHANY, Okla. - Fort Hays State Men's Soccer advanced to the GAC/MIAA Tournament championship match after a 1-0 victory AGAINST Rogers State on Friday. The Tigers scored less than two minutes into the second half and held off the Hillcats the rest of the way. Fort Hays State will face the winner of the other semifinal match between No. 4 seed Northeastern State and regular season champion and No. 1 seed Southern Nazarene.

After returning from halftime scoreless, the Tigers got on the board in the 47th minute when Ethan Doud crossed the ball into the box and Taisei Arima redirected the ball with his head into the goal. The FHSU defense and goalkeeper Kieran Brown held on for the seventh shutout of the season.

The Tigers will play in the championship match on Sunday at 1 pm.
