#theGAC WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 25)

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the ninth Women’s Soccer weekly awards for the 2022 season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Kaylee Swaner claimed Offensive Player; East Central’s Tanja Bauboeck earned Defensive Player while the Tigers’ McKenna Leveling and Bison’s Mia Pendleton shared Goalkeeper of the Week.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kaylee Swaner, Oklahoma Baptist, M, Jr., Rockwall, Texas  
Swaner produced her first multiple-goal game of the season as she found the back of the net twice in Oklahoma Baptist’s 4-0 win against Southern Nazarene. In the 11th minute, she scored the first goal of the match on an assist by Annabelle Joski. In the 72nd minute, she capped the scoring with a low blast.    

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tanja Bauboeck, East Central, M, So., Munderfing, Austria
Bauboeck made two crucial plays in the Tigers’ 0-0 draw with Oklahoma Baptist. She blocked a Bison shot with her chest in the 42nd minute after Tiger goalkeeper McKenna Leveling came off of her line. Two minutes into the second half, she defended a rebound off of an Oklahoma Baptist corner kick. 

#theGAC CO-GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – McKenna Leveling, East Central, So., Fort Worth, Texas
Leveling registered a season-high 10 saves as the Tigers and Oklahoma Baptist played to a scoreless draw. She extended her scoreless streak to 187 minutes and lowered her goals-against average for the season to 1.65 as she collected her third shutout in her last four starts.

#theGAC CO-GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Mia Pendleton, Oklahoma Baptist, JK, Sr., Choctaw, Oklahoma
Pendleton recorded two clean sheets and tallied four total saves as the Bison defeated Southern Nazarene and tied East Central to clinch a berth to the GAC Championships. She has notched a shutout in each of her last three starts in net and has not allowed a goal in her last 331 minutes of play.
