 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the third Men’s Soccer weekly awards for the 2022 season. Southern Nazarene’s Bruno Ferreira and Eric Romero earned Offensive Player and Defender of the Week. Fort Hays State’s Kieran Brown claimed Goalkeeper of the Week.

#theGAC/MIAA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bruno Ferreira, Southern Nazarene, F, Gr., Santos, Sau Paulo - Brazil
Ferreira scored his first goal of the season in the Crimson Storm’s 3-0 win against Texas A&M-International. In the 26th minute, he converted a pass from Daniel Trojman for his first goal of the season. Five minutes later, he returned the favor as he assisted on a Trojman goal. His five assists lead the conference.

#theGAC/MIAA DEFENDER OF THE WEEK – Eric Romero, Southern Nazarene, D, Jr., Dallas, Texas
Romero extended his streak of playing all 90 minutes to four as he played the full time in the Crimson Storm’s contests against Texas A&M-International and Midwestern State. The Crimson Storm defense held the Dust Devils to just nine shots and none on target as they registered their second shutout of the season.

#theGAC/MIAA GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Kieran Brown, Fort Hays State, GK, Sr., Kettering, Australia  
Brown repeated as the GAC Goalkeeper of the Week as he recorded 11 saves and posted a .786 save percentage in contests against No. 6 Midwestern State and Texas A&M-International. He tied his season high with seven saves against Midwestern State.
