#theGAC WOMEN’S AND MEN’S GOLFERS OF THE WEEK (WEEK EIGHT)

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s and men’s golfers of the week for the final week of the fall 2023 season. Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Drew Dodgion earned the women’s honor and Southern Arkansas’ Connor Harrington claimed the men’s award.
#theGAC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Drew Dodgion, Jr., Southwestern Oklahoma State, Guthrie, Oklahoma
Dodgion paced the Bulldogs at the Tulsa Cup by taking second in the individual race with a 54-hole score of 1-under par, two strokes in back of the individual champion for her third top-five finish this fall. She made seven birdies and an eagle across the final two rounds. The Bulldogs took second in the 19-team event.
#theGAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Connor Harrington, Sr., Southern Arkansas, Magnolia, Arkansas
Harrington helped the Muleriders earn a four-shot team title at the Tulsa Cup - their first team tournament victory since March 2020. After carding a 2-over 74 in the first round, he came back with consecutive 3-under 69s to move from 24th after 18 holes up into a tie for third. He made nine birdies and an eagle over his final 36 holes.
