TOP-SEEDED HARDING CRUISE INTO #theGAC VOLLEYBALL SEMIFINALS

 HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Logan Smith-Morgan captured a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs to lead the Harding volleyball team to a first-round win at the Great American Conference Championships on Thursday. The Lady Bisons defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State, 3-0 at the Bank OZK Arena.

Harding, the No. 1 seed, moves on to the semifinals and will take on No. 4 seed Henderson State at 5 p.m. The Lady Bisons improve to 19-10 while the Savage Storm ends their season with a 12-17 record.

Leading 13-12 in the first set, Harding went on a 6-1 run on four kills to lead 19-13. After a Southeastern Oklahoma State point, the Lady Bisons went on a 6-0 run on four kills to win the set 25-14. Harding had 15 kills in the set.

Harding carried its momentum into the second set as it jumped out to a 10-1 lead on six kills. The Lady Bisons only allowed the Savage Storm to get within four points the rest of the way as Harding won the set, 25-17. The Savage Storm had six attack errors in the set.

Trailing 9-8 in the third set, Harding went on a 9-0 run on four kills to lead 18-9. Southeastern Oklahoma State only scored two more points the rest of the way as the Lady Bisons won the set 25-11. Harding had 13 kills in the set and only allowed the Savage Storm to have five kills.

Harding finished with 42 kills against only 14 attack errors to hit .248 for the match. Skyler McKinnon and Jacey Lambert. McKinnon joined Logan Smith-Morgan with 10 kills. Lambert hit .304 in the match.

The Lady Bisons had eight aces in the match with Olivia Wiedower and Grecia Soriano each collecting three. Emma Winiger led the defense with 17 digs.

D'Nari Mills, the GAC Player of the Year, led the Savage Storm with 14 kills.
