SHAWNEE, Okla. - Top-seeded Oklahoma Baptist claimed a 1-0 overtime victory against rival Southwestern Oklahoma State in Thursday's opening semifinal of the Great American Conference Women's Soccer Championships. Freshman Sophia Ziesemer, deposited the game-winning goal and moved the Bison into their seventh-straight GAC Tournament Final.

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, the Bison will play second-seeded Ouachita Baptist, who defeated Southern Nazarene, 1-0. Earlier this season, OBU defeated Ouachita by 2-0 and 1-0 scores.

At the 106:46 mark, Ziesemer scored on a rebounded shot by fellow freshman Lexi Williamson. The goal, Ziesemer's third, have all been game-winners.

Well before that goal, junior Jadynn Daggs and Williamson both made many valiant attempts at scoring, but Bulldogs goalie Terra Rybuck proved difficult to get past. Rybuck came up seven saves in the match.

OBU's offense outshoting the visitors 8-4. Daggs had a couple of good looks, too, but didn't find nylon.

In the second half, the SWOSU attack forced Oklahoma Baptist to defend multiple counters. They did so with the help of Asley Baker, Brae Baker, Ashley Bell and Michaela White.

Goalie Mia Pendleton once again gave OBU a great chance in net as she kept SWOSU from scoring by making four saves, including a one with less than a minute left in the second overtime segment. She recorded the 19th shutout of her career.
