 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the Baseball award winners for the fourth week of the 2023 season. Arkansas Tech’s Keaton Ranallo and Southern Arkansas’ Conner Allen shared the Player of the Week honor while the Muleriders’ Mikel Howell captured the Pitcher of the Week accolade.

#theGAC BASEBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Keaton Ranallo, Arkansas Tech, OF, So., Owasso, Oklahoma
Ranallo slugged 1.188 as the Wonder Boys earned a midweek victory against No. 2 Southern Arkansas and a series win against Southern Nazarene. Against the Muleriders, he hit two home runs, including a go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning. In the finale of the Crimson Storm series, he hit home runs in consecutive innings of the 17-9 victory.

#theGAC BASEBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Conner Allen, Southern Arkansas, RF, Sr., Plano, Texas
Allen reached base 12 times in 17 plate appearances across four games last week. He homered twice and drove in five runs against Arkansas Tech. In the three-game sweep of East Central he hit his third home run of the week and drove in four more runs. He raised his season average from .192 to .278 and scored seven runs during the week.

#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Mikel Howell, Southern Arkansas, SP, Jr., Huntsville, Texas
Carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning of the Muleriders’ 8-0 win against East Central on Friday. He finished with a two-hit shutout. He registered at least one strikeout in all seven innings in finishing with a season-high 12. He lowered his ERA to 1.57 and improved to 3-1.
