SAVAGE STORM CLINCH APPEARANCE IN #theGAC TENNIS FINAL

 BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern avenged its regular season to Southern Arkansas by defeating the Muleriders, 4-0, in the semifinals of the Great American Conference tournament on Saturday afternoon in Bentonville, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 8-12 overall on the season and advances them to the final of the tournament for the third-straight season. Southeastern faces Arkansas Tech at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Chiara Matteodo and Vanessa Nitu gave SE its first doubles win as they would pick up a 6-1 win over SAU's Sarah Roy and Honoka Yoshimura at number three doubles.

Sara Gonzalez and Georgia Hosking clinched the doubles point as the duo scored a tense 7-6 win against Kalley Smith and Greta Wallin.

Michelle Markovic picked up a win at No. 5 due to a retirement. Chiara Matteodo notched a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles. Nitu secured the match win with a 6-2, 7-6 victory against Roy from the No. 1 position.
