Tweet #theGAC  WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Freya Sala claimed the individual title at the highly competitive Midwestern State Women's Invitational, shooting one over par across three rounds. Her standout performance highlighted the SWOSU women's golf team's fifth-place finish.

In the tournament, which featured four teams ranked in the top-25, No. 3 Odessa College (TX) took home the team title with a +35 overall score. No. 11 West Texas A&M and No. 11 St. Mary's (TX) shared second place, just one shot off the lead.

Sala secured the individual win after a one-hole playoff against Midwestern State's Alli Reily. She finished at +1 after three rounds, with her best round being -2 (70) with six birdies in round two. Sala dominated the par 3's, averaging 2.75 – the best in the tournament. After a bogey on her first par three, she shot par or better on the next 11.
