LILBURN, Georgia - Hawley opened the season with back-to-back 30-point games as the Bison went 1-1 at the D2CCA Tipoff Classic in Canyon, Texas.
The fifth-year senior forward from Memphis, Tenn. scored 30 with nine boards in a 75-69 win over Adams State, then added 35 with 10 boards in a loss to West Texas A&M. She shot .692 from the field (27-39). She averaged 32.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game and hit 11 of 12 total free throws.
Hawley leads the Great America Conference and is ranked second in NCAA Division II in points per game; she also leads the conference in rebounding and field goal percentage.
