INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division II Softball Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the 2024 NCAA Division II Softball Championship. For the third time in conference history, the Great American Conference qualified three teams to the NCAA Central Regional in Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Nazarene and Southern Arkansas.
The Crimson Storm, the GAC champions, earned their first-ever appearance to the NCAA Tournament. For the second-straight year, the Bison received an at-large bid. The Mulerideres extended their streak of NCAA berths to eight.
Oklahoma Baptist claimed the fifth seed; Southern Nazarene took the seventh seed and Southern Arkansas grabbed the eighth seed.
Four teams will participate at each of the 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments, held May 9-11. Winners will advance to the super-regionals, slated for May 14-15. The finals will be held May 19-25 at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park and will be hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
