#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (WEEK TWO)

 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC men’s basketball players of the week for the second week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Terry Coner, Jr. won the Offensive Player accolade and Southern Nazarene’s Tracy Godfrey, Jr. earned the Defensive Player honor.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Terry Coner, Jr., G, Oklahoma Baptist, Jr., Birmingham, Alabama
Coner, Jr. averaged 24.0 points per game as the Bison defeated Missouri Southern State and Pittsburg State at the Pitt State Classic to improve to 4-0. Against Missouri Southern State, he went 9-for-15 with five assists and five steals. Against the hosting Gorillas, he netted a season-high 26 points. He added three rebounds and three steals.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tracy Godfrey, Jr., F, Southern Nazarene, Sr., Lubbock, Texas
Godfrey, Jr. registered back-to-back games with double-digit rebounds to help the Crimson Storm defeat Missouri Western State and Northeastern State and start 4-0 for the first time since 2018-19. Against the Griffons, he grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked two shots. Against the RiverHawks, pulled down 11 rebounds. He added a steal and a block.
