RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the softball weekly award winners for the 10th week of the 2025 season. Henderson State’s Hilary Akers earned Player of the Week and the Muleriders’ Brinson Rogers secured Pitcher of the Week.
#theGAC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hilary Akers, 3B, Henderson State, So., Houston, Texas
Akers paced the Reddie offense in four wins, including a sweep of Arkansas Tech. After going 6-for-8 with four RBI in a doubleheader against Texas A&M-Texarkana, she added six RBI against Tech. In game two, she hit a three-run game-tying home run in the bottom of the seventh inning. She followed up with the game-winning single in the ninth inning.
#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Brinson Rogers, RHP, Southern Arkansas, Sr., Statesboro, Georgia
Rogers won her eighth weekly award of the season after she collected two wins against Harding in a meeting of two nationally-ranked squads In her first start, she registered a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts. In her second appearance, she limited the Lady Bisons to two hits in a 4-0 win. Across the two outings, she tallied 15 strikeouts against only three walks.
