SEARCY, Ark. - Less than 96 hours after losing to Southern Nazarene in the final match of the regular season, No. 1 Harding turned the tables and defeated the Crimson Storm in the first semifinal of the 2026 GAC Women's Soccer Championship, 1-0.
In both regular season meetings, SNU got the best of the Lady Bisons, 2-1 and 1-0, but Friday morning First Team All-Conference goalie Maysa Willis recorded her ninth shutout of the season along with three saves to help HU advance to its second straight GAC Championship Game.
Harding put the offensive pressure on Southern Nazarene from the get-go, tallying 18 shots, eight of which came on goal. Crimson Storm goalkeepper Madaline Bailey did record seven saves, but the Lady Bisons were able to get one past Bailey on a 30-yard shot to the top-left corner for the decider.
Top-seed Harding will now await the winner of No. 2 seed Ouachita Baptist and No. 3 seed Southwestern Oklahoma State, which kicked off at 2 p.m. from Stevens Soccer Complex. The Championship Game is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.
