FINAL RESULTS || SEARCY, Arkansas – Harding won the program’s fifth Great American Conference Women’s Track & Field Championship title, and first since 2021 amassed 235.5 points over three days at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex. Oklahoma Baptist finished second. Harding’s Roselyn Spencer garnered the MVP Award.
Harding’s Karyna Vehner led a 1-2-3 finish for the Lady Bisons in the triple jump. Her winning effort, 12.19 meters, came on her first attempt. The 4x400-meter relay team of Jayden Bowman, Tetiana Kharashchuk, Leila Ngapout and Spencer closed out the meet in style as they won in record fashion with a time 3:43.62. They cut almost four seconds off the eight-year old record.
Spencer scored in five individual events. She finished second in the heptathlon and the triple jump. She placed third in the long jump, fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth in the high jump.
Oklahoma Baptist collected five titles on Friday. Jamora Horace won the high jump for the second-straight year. She cleared 1.78 meters, a meet record. The Bison 4x100-meter relay team of Deja Rose, Bianca Gleim, Olivia Tate and Emory Lomon opened Friday’s running events by clocking a winning time of 46.38 seconds. Trista Etheridge became the first GAC woman to win the 800 and 1500 in the same year. She won the 800 in 2:12.31 and the 1500 in 4:34.06. Asia Foster repeated as the champion of the 400. She ran in 53.66 seconds.
Ouachita Baptist took third. Belle Lindsey became the first Tiger to win the 100 hurdles after she crossed in 14.02 seconds. Kate Nachtigal made a final-lap pass to win the 5000 in 17:38.41
Southern Arkansas followed in fourth. Skyler Phillips took first in the discus with a throw of 46.99 meters. Jordan Collins broke the GAC Championship record in both the 100 and the 200 in record times. She became the fifth woman to win the 100 and 200 at a single GAC Championship. She won the 100 in 11.59 seconds and the 200 in 23.50 seconds.
Southern Nazarene finished in fifth, followed by Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Savage Storm’s Madison Rowe became the first woman to break the one-minute mark in the 400 hurdles. She finished in 59.39 seconds.
Arkansas Tech, East Central and Southwestern Oklahoma State rounded out the team standings.
The GAC also handed out its Elite Athlete Awards - Presented by Conway Regional Health System - to Ouachita Baptist’s Ashley Dillman, Allison Hylkema, Elise Knight, Belle Lindsey Dykes and Abby McElhaney; Oklahoma Baptist’s Keylee Faudere, Mekenzie Lyda and Zoe Strange; Harding’s Kaia Bieker, Kharashchuk and Dinah Winders; Arkansas Tech’s Mackenzie Epperson and Alyson Greathouse, East Central’s Kaylyn Cotner, Northwestern Oklahoma State’ Cadence Long Torres and SAU’s Rylee Robinson. All 16 own 4.00 grade-point averages. An additional 108 GAC standouts made the Academic Honor Roll.
