RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - (RV) Oklahoma Baptist (11-4, 3-0 GAC) and Arkansas Tech (9-6, 3-0 GAC) get through week four as the top teams according to the Great American Conference standings. The Bison and the Golden Suns are the only undefeated teams in conference play as (RV) Harding (12-2, 2-1 GAC), Southwestern Oklahoma State (8-6, 2-1 GAC), Henderson State (8-7, 2-1 GAC) and Ouachita Baptist (6-9, 2-1 GAC) all sit just behind the top two squads.
The Reddies of Henderson State saw the biggest win of the week, upsetting Harding in Arkadelphia, 3-2. The victory came 48 hours after a three-set victory over Southern Arkansas. Oklahoma Baptist saw the same results, starting its week out with a sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State before surviving a reverse sweep against Southern Nazarene, 3-2.
After dropping its 15th consecutive set on the season in the first game of the week against Harding, Ouachita Baptist got back on track with a 3-0 victory against Arkansas-Monticello. Southern Nazarene (9-6, 1-2 GAC) leads the four 1-2 league teams while Southern Arkansas (4-10, 0-3 GAC) and Arkansas-Monticello (2-13, 0-3 GAC) fill the final two spots in the conference.

OFFENSIVE
Melaina Haines | Harding | OH | Fr. | Jackson, Mo.
Harding freshman outside hitter Melaina Haines averaged five kills per set and six points per set across Harding's pair of GAC matches. Haines recorded 40 kills on a .289 attack percentage across eight sets. Against Ouachita Baptist, Haines helped lead the Bisons to a sweep after posting a 14-kill, 13-dig double-double with a .303 average while also adding two service aces. The first-year outside tallied a double-double in both matches this week.
DEFENSIVE

Henderson State senior libero Kaylon Partain picked up her second GAC Defensive Player of the Week nod this past week after helping Henderson State to a 2-0 week, including an impressive 3-2 victory over (RV) Harding. Partain averaged 8.00 digs per set after totaling 64 in eight sets. Through games Thursday, Sept. 17, Partain leads all of NCAA Division II with 6.75 digs per set.

Emily Boyer | Oklahoma Baptist | S | Sr. | Choctaw, Okla.
Oklahoma Baptist senior setter Emily Boyer helped Oklahoma Baptist remain undefeated in conference play after averaging 11.75 assists per set across eight sets this past week. In the Bison's best win of the week, Boyer delivered 40 assists in just three sets against Southwestern Oklahoma State as OKB hit .284 as a team in the sweep.
